This class will encompass social science and language arts. In social science, we will be studying the ancient world. Language arts is scheduled in two periods, and includes the study of literature, writing, spelling, and grammar skills.

1. Homework is assigned almost every school day. Homework is rarely assigned on weekends and holidays.
2. All homework is due the following school day. It is considered late if not turned in the class period that it is due.
3. In case of absence, the student will have the same number of days that they were absent to

make up all assignments.

Grading Policy:

All grading is done on a point basis. The cut off for letter grades is the same

for all classes at the Middle School.

Classroom Expectations:

1. All Students are expected to do all homework and classwork on time.

2. Students are expected to come to class with all materials, manage their time well, and stay on task.

4. Students are expected to be courteous and respectful to all peers and staff.
5. Students are expected to follow directions, and contribute to class discussions.
