MBUSD Medical Advisory Board (MBUSD MAB) History
 
The Manhattan Beach Unified School District Medical Advisory Board is a unique committee of South Bay medical professionals who work together to promote mutual respect and interaction between the Manhattan Beach Unified School District and the health care community. 
 
This committee is comprised of approximately thirty physicians and other health service professionals who represent a broad range of specialties.
 
This distinguished body of professionals meets three times a year with school and district administrators, the district nurse, student representatives, the superintendent, and members of the MBUSD Board of Trustees to review current medical challenges as they pertain to the education and physical and mental well-being of all students in the district, preschool through grade twelve.

MBUSD MAB Student Application
 

The Manhattan Beach Unified School District Medical Advisory Board (MBUSD MAB) seeks qualified high school students to serve on its advisory committee. Committee members serve a one-year term and have a direct impact on local health and wellness programs. Attendance is mandatory for all three meetings per school year, which are held on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons.

Students applying for the position must be in 10th or 11th grade at Mira Costa High School with good academic and attendance standing. High school students who are interested in the position should complete the Medical Advisory Board Student Application and submit it with reference letters.
