NOTICE OF DETERMINATION 11/6/2017
On November 6, 2017 the Board approved Resolution 2017-28 adopting the Negative Declaration for the Mira Costa High School Gymnasium project and and approving the Notice of Determination. By this approval the Board has directed staff to file these findings with the County of Los Angeles and the State Clearinghouse, initiating the 30-day statue of limitation for challenges to the CEQA document while simultaneously moving forward with the project.
Per CEQA requirements, the District undertook an environmental review to determine whether there would be any significant impacts from the proposed Mira Costa High School gymnasium replacement project. This initial study determined there were no significant impacts and a Negative Declaration was prepared. The CEQA documents found here were available for public review during the 30-day public review period from September 19, 2017 to October 19, 2017. Printed copies of this Negative Declaration and supporting Initial Study were also available at the Manhattan Beach District Offices at 325 S. Peck Avenue, and at Mira Costa High School (1401 Artesia Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266).
