On November 2, 2011, the Board of Trustees approved the contract for the $54 million construction project at Mira Costa High School using the BB bonds approved by Manhattan Beach voters in 2008. This project will add new facilities and modernize most other buildings on campus, as well provide a new quad area for students. The construction project is on time and on budget.
