Welcome to the Health and Welfare Benefits page. This page provides information about the Health and Welfare benefits offered to employees. The benefit plan year is from October 1 - September 30 of each year with the month of August being open enrollment.

If you selected any of the Anthem Blue Cross plans, we encourage you to go to Anthem's website, and register. You can register using either the ID number from your insurance card, or your social security number.

District-provided Benefits: The Guardian

The district pays for long term disability insurance and life insurance coverage for all employees that work at least fifty percent at no cost to employees. An overview of these benefits can be found here.  Please note that employees must designate a beneficiary through the insurance portal.
 
 
 
 
Traveling during your summer break?  Anthem Blue Cross has provided the following member information for those who may need to seek out-of-area non-emergency and urgent care services:

COBRA

COBRA is the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act which amended the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Internal Revenue Code and the Public Health Service Act to provide continuation of group health coverage that otherwise might be terminated. COBRA provides certain former employees, retirees, spouses, former spouses, and dependent children the right to temporary continuation of health coverage at group rates.
