BID No. B1819-005 PACIFIC INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY (IT) RELATED MOVING & INSTALLATION SERVICES
 
The Board of Education of the Manhattan beach Unified School District is requesting bids for:
 
Pacific Elementary Instructional Technology (IT) Related Moving & Installation Services, Bid No. B1819-005
 
All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Companies interested in bidding can obtain appropriate bid documents via the link below, and from the District Offices located at 325 S. Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
 
IMPORTANT: A mandatory job walk is scheduled for this project on April 11, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Pacific Elementary School, located at 1200 Pacific Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
 

All requests for information must be submitted by April 26, 2019 before 4:00 p.m. 

Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the District, at the above address, up to, but no later than 11:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2019 at which time they will be opened and publicly read. Each envelope must be clearly marked on the front with the bidder’s name and bid number.

The Board of Education of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids or bidding. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety days (90) after the date set for the opening of bids. Refer to the formal bid documents for additional information, terms and conditions. The complete bid documents and terms and conditions are considered one complete bid component and cannot be altered in anyway.

Beltmann Relocation Group is the apparent lower bidder on this project and will be
presented for approval to the Board of Trustees on April 17, 2019, during the regular Board meeting.
The meeting will be held in the District Board Room located at  325 South Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

PREQUALIFYING: PRIME CONTRACTORS & FIRST TIER MEPs
 
The District is prequalifying prime contractors and first tier electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors to perform work on District projects.  
 
As a condition of being awarded a contract, prospective developers and MEP subcontractors must complete a prequalification questionnaire and provide financial information to the District (the Prequalification Package). Prequalification Packages are accepted on a rolling basis. 
 
Once the prequalification process is complete, the District will notify developers and MEP subcontractors whether they meet the prequalification requirements.  Prequalification will be valid for one calendar year following the date of initial prequalification.  Developers and MEP subcontractors who are prequalified must update prequalification forms as their status or information changes.
 
The District will only enter into lease-leaseback agreements with Developers who have been prequalified by the District, and a developer/prime contractor may not use an MEP subcontractor that has not been prequalified by the District.
