NOTICE OF INTENT TO GRANT DEDICATED EASEMENT TO SCE

The District has been contacted by Southern California Electrical on behalf of a neighbor whose home is located adjacent to Robinson Elementary School. Southern California Electrical is working on behalf of this neighbor to relocate a utility line in order to accommodate the neighbor's home renovation. This involves relocating utility poles within an existing easement as well as relocating the overhead lines attached to the poles. The overhead lines cross above a portion of the school property. While Southern California Edison's rights are reserved through an existing easement in the area where the poles are to be moved, there is no easement for the overhead location of the lines, and Edison is requiring that an easement be approved in order to enable them to install and maintain the facilities. Upon completion, the relocation will allow for the poles to be placed in alignment with the poles that are existing on the school field.

On July 18, 2018 the Board approved the resolution of intent to grant this easement to SCE. The full text of the resolution with a tax map and diagram showing the proposed relocation of poles can be found here:  BR 2018-24 Intent to Grant Dedicated Easement to SCE.

Through the approval of this resolution, the Board provided notice of its intent to grant this easement at its August 15, 2018 regular Board meeting.
