RFP: PROP 39 FINANCIAL AND PERFORMANCE BOND AUDIT
 
The Manhattan Beach Unified School District desires to receive proposals from qualified firms from which one will be selected to conduct Financial and Performance Audits as defined under California Proposition 39 (California Constitution XIII, A, (b) (3)). Financial and Performance Audits will be performed for each bond described in the request for proposal document found here: 
The District encourages responses from firms who have successfully completed thorough Financial and Performance Audits in compliance with all requirements and regulations and have the firm capacity to address the identified areas of review including design, engineering, contracting, inspecting, and overall financial review.
 
Firms may submit questions or request clarification on this RFP by 4:00 PM, August 24, 2017. Questions or clarification requests must be submitted in writing and sent via email to Carol Gerken (cgerken@mbusd.org). Any questions received and the responses will be summarized and made available on this web page by 4:00 PM, August 25, 2017. 
 
Proposals are due and must be received at the District Offices by 4:00 PM, August 31, 2017.

PREQUALIFYING: PRIME CONTRACTORS & FIRST TIER MEPs
 
The District is prequalifying prime contractors and first tier electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors to perform work on District projects.  
 
As a condition of being awarded a contract, prospective developers and MEP subcontractors must complete a prequalification questionnaire and provide financial information to the District (the Prequalification Package).  Prequalification Packages are accepted on a rolling basis.
 
Once the prequalification process is complete, the District will notify developers and MEP subcontractors whether they meet the prequalification requirements.  Prequalification will be valid for one calendar year following the date of initial prequalification.  Developers and MEP subcontractors who are prequalified must update prequalification forms as their status or information changes.
 
The District will only enter into lease-leaseback agreements with Developers who have been prequalified by the District, and a developer/prime contractor may not use an MEP subcontractor that has not been prequalified by the District.

Developers and MEP subcontractors who wish to qualify should register here in order to be provided with updated information/addenda regarding the Prequalification Process.
 
All necessary prequalification documents are posted below for your convenience; developer documents are here and MEP subcontractor documents are here.  Remember that in addition to complying with the information provided in the documents and completing the Prequalification Package,  you must register to receive updated information.  All updated information and addenda will also be posted on this webpage; it is recommended that interested parties check this page regularly for any updates.
