Manhattan Beach Unified School District
Measure MB Citizens' Oversight Committee Application
On June 5, 2018, by passing Measure MB, Manhattan Beach voters authorized the Manhattan Beach Unified School District ("District") to impose a special tax in the amount of $225 per parcel for six years annually. This measure was renewed by voters on March 5, 2024 extending the tax through June 2030. Under Resolution No. 2018-8 the District is obligated to establish a Citizens' Oversight Committee in order to satisfy the accountability requirements of Measure MB. Resolution No. 2018-27, adopted by the Board of Trustees on August 15, 2018, established the Bylaws for the Measure MB Citizens' Oversight Committee. Resolution 2024-18 re-established the Measure MB Citizens Oversight Committee for the renewal measure.
While existing members of the COC have continued in their roles, the COC anticipates an upcoming vacancy, and the District is seeking applicants to fill that vacancy.
Please review the full Resolution No. 2018-27 through the link provided prior to completing this application to be considered for appointment to this committee. Please note that employees, officials, vendors, contractors, and consultants of the District are not eligible for active membership on the Committee.
