Health and Wellness

MBUSD is committed to educating the whole child and supporting students to thrive in school and in life.

We believe that students' experiences K-12 provides an important foundation for future success. Our wellness, mental health, and social-emotional learning support services are delivered in a variety of ways, including classroom prevention services for students and with small group or individualized services for students with more intense support needs.

We engage students, parents, and staff through a variety of stakeholder input processes to inform the needs of student level support and school-wide climate. Information on this page connects students and families to resources available in MBUSD and community-based mental health or social services. We are grateful for our community partners who support our students and provide various health services to MBUSD schools. Some of our community partners are Beach Cities Health District (BCHD), Soul2Soul, CBH, and Hazel Health.

MBUSD families can now refer directly to Hazel Health for short-term, tele-mental health support through the SBHIP grant.  This program will end in June 2025.

For a parent/guardian to refer their child, please complete the online consent form and then request therapy using the steps outlined on the MBUSD landing page.

Once on the landing page, please scroll to click on "Request Teletherapy" and follow the steps.
