As a service to you and your child, MBUSD has joined with other districts to offer you the option to purchase low-cost, voluntary student accident insurance. The program is arranged and administered by Pacific Educators. Program information and enrollment forms can be found here:

Dear Parents:

The Manhattan Beach Unified School District does not provide medical, accident, or dental insurance for pupils injured on school premises or through school activities. In accordance with Education Code Section 49472, the District is making available a low-cost medical/dental accident insurance program.

The purpose of these plans is to provide assistance at a minimum cost to meet some of the expenses for accidental injury. The plans pay the first $500.00 in benefits in addition to other insurance, which can help you meet your primary insurance deductibles and/or co-payments

The plan costs are in the chart below. Please visit your Childs’ School Office to obtain a detailed brochure/application, or you may obtain one and sign up online at www.peinsurance.com (click on Products, then Student Insurance). Please read the Student Benefits Plan Brochure to select the plan that best meets your needs.

The program is arranged and administered by K& K Insurance, a firm that has specialized in such coverages for over 40 years. Program information and enrollment forms can be found here:

Dear Parent/Legal Guardian

We are committed to providing a safe environment for your student. Even so, accidents do happen, and resulting medical treatment (ambulance transport, surgery, hospitalization, etc.) can be very expensive. Of course, active students can get hurt outside of school as well.

Please know that MBUSD is not liable for these expenses. However, as a service to you and your child, MBUSD offers you the ability to voluntarily purchase a low-cost student accident insurance program administered by K & K Insurance. (https://www.kandkinsurance.com/).

Options are available to cover your child 24/7, or you can limit coverage to school-related injuries only. The plans do not restrict your choice of doctors or hospital.

High School Tackle Football and Interscholastic Sports plans may be used to comply with applicable state and local insurance requirements for participation in sports.

To enroll, complete the enrollment form in full online, selecting the plan(s) you want for your child, and pay as directed. Your child is eligible to enroll at any time during the school year - please consider early enrollment to get maximum value from the plan(s) selected.
