Expanded Purpose:

The Consortium is an association of high performing schools that advance public education by focusing on the student experience. We work for the success of each of our students through:

  1. Developing leadership for both leading and managing change
    1. Leadership development would include the development of leaders as professionals and the leaders as professionals in their respective roles
    2. Developing and implementing the leadership pipeline in order to ensure the ability to scale and sustain deep substantive change
  2. Creating the capacity to be an organization that supports and learns from each other
    1. To create capacity that no one single or group of member districts possess but clearly need
    2. Developing the capacity for change leadership and change management
  3. Benchmarking of our work of the student experience to learn from each other
    1. To broaden the concepts and practices of benchmarking to reduce emphasis on outcome comparisons and move toward benchmarking of programs, policies, practices and processes and benchmarking of contexts, cultures and capacities
    2. The Consortium will define benchmarking topics and targets at our bi-annual meeting
