Welcome to the Health and Welfare Benefits page. This page provides information about the Health and Welfare benefits offered to employees.
 
The benefits plan year runs from October 1st through September 30th of each year.

Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment runs from August 11, 2025, through September 12, 2025. Elections made during Open Enrollment will go into effect on October 1, 2025. Making changes to benefit elections after the Open Enrollment window can only be done if you are a new employee or if you experience a Qualifying Event (e.g., marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc.)
 
All full-time and 50%-or-higher part-time employees are eligible to participate in the health benefit plans.

NEW: The District has added the Kaiser Deductible HMO plan and the Anthem Solutions PPO plan. These plans have higher out-of-pocket costs for services, but a lower per-paycheck contribution from employees. If considering these plans, please carefully review your usage (estimated out-of-pocket costs) against what you may save through lower per-paycheck contributions. 
 
Benefit elections may be made through the Ease Benefits portal during Open Enrollment, or within 30 days of a Qualifying Event.
   
All employees should log on to www.MBUSD.Ease.com to designate beneficiaries for the District-provided Life insurance.
